Awarding the Quality Label of the Council of Europe to International Youth Centre, Stara Zagora

Today, 16/05/2017, the official ceremony for awarding the Quality Label of the Council of Europe to “International Youth Centre for children and youth at risk Stara Zagora” took place.

The International Youth Centre was created within the project BG06 - 101 "International Youth Center for children and youth at risk" in the city of Stara Zagora.

The acquisition of a Quality Label is an international recognition that contributes to the recognition of centers at local and European level and helps them to achive their goals. As primary mission, the Centre serves the youth sector and the young people. The main focus of the Centre’s program are young people and those who work with and for young people. Large part of the educational activities in the Centre comply with the non-formal educational profile. The Centre provides training based on the non-formal learning methods, aimed at young people. The Centre offers a tolerant and safe work environment that is based on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, human rights, including those of the minorities. The fundamental characteristics are pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality.
